1895 $1 PR65 PCGS. The 1895 Morgan dollar is known only in proof format and has the lowest total mintage of the series at 880 proof examples. The issue is known as the "King of the Morgan Silver Dollars," and is highly sought after by all Morgan enthusiasts. The present example is absolutely stunning. If you could image opening an original 1895 proof set after years of proper storage, here is what you would see. The cent sat upon the nickel, the dime upon the quarter, and the half upon the dollar. After removing the final coin before seeing the dollar, lifting that final coin off and anticipating the "King of the Morgan Silver Dollars", and behold, a magnificent specimen with vibrancy in the entire spectrum of the rainbow with a pristine cheek, immaculate watery mirrors and stunning eye appeal. I can only image the reaction a person could feel when uncovering a numismatic rarity with the breath-taking surfaces and appeal of this coin. It would take a persons breath away.
